Brand Evolution
A brand evolution develops a part of your existing branding and moves it forward. This could involve tidying up the type or cleaning up the logo mark. It could mean you want to refine the colours or introduce new fonts to align better with your business or industry.
If you like your branding but feel it has become over-complicated it may be time to strip it back. A good example of refining a brand was the work we did for Reliable Contractors. Over the years their business had developed but their brand had not moved with them. Their name tells you what they do, so in this instance all they needed was some clean typography. This added huge benefits to legibility on digital platforms.

Brand Revolution
A brand revolution is an opportunity to start a new. Your business itself doesn’t change but every aspect of your brand will. Common reasons for a brand revolution can include; outgrowing your visual identity, misplaced tone of voice and brand language, a change of services and customers or audiences not understanding what you are offering them.
A good place to start with a brand revolution is looking at what you want to achieve by changing your brand identity. That can lead you to understand the real problems you have with your existing brand. Customers and audiences want to feel that they can trust your brand and business. Maybe you need to appear more trustworthy or you are the expert in your field and this isn’t successfully being communicated.
